Use your RAL Color Reader in your browser
The RAL Color Reader is built on the same Datacolor CR100 colorimeter as the Datacolor ColorReader, so it should work with OpenColor: connect it in Chrome or Edge over Web Bluetooth and match your reading to RAL, Pantone, NCS, Munsell and paint fandecks — no RAL app needed. (Only the Datacolor-branded unit has been formally verified.)
How it works
1. Open OpenColor in Chrome or Edge and press Pair to connect your device over Bluetooth.
2. Press Match Color — OpenColor reads the CIELAB value and finds the nearest named colors across every system.
3. Browse the ranked matches, filter to the systems you care about, and revisit past scans in history.

Matches across ~11,400 references in eight systems — CSS, RAL Classic, Pantone (Coated & Uncoated), NCS, Munsell, Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore — ranked by CIEDE2000 color difference. Installable as an app, runs entirely in your browser, and includes an open color-match API for developers.

No — OpenColor talks to the device directly in the browser. Nothing to install on desktop beyond your browser.
Will it work on my iPhone?
No. iOS browsers don't support Web Bluetooth. Use Chrome or Edge on Android or a computer.
